Rick Perry. Brain Novocaine. Once again defending the American people from the Evil Constitution.

Uh yes it does Rick. Freedom of religion means I have the freedom not to practice a religion if I so choose. Go back to the Dark Ages, asswipe.

Texans sure do love their crazy people, otherwise why would they elect so many of them?

“Governor Perry, have you heard the good word about the Flying Spaghetti Monster?”

I think the Taliban have the same reasoning and ideas, don’t they? Congratulations Rick. Nice move. Of course, it’s your “God”. All the difference in the world. Is he still on painkillers or is it just all him?

1st amendment calling Rick Perry:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

In case you thought “or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” somehow didn’t include citizens choosing not to exercise it, the “make no law respecting an establishment of religion” part right before it should’ve made that clear.

Will any of these a-holes paying lip-service to the constitution ever actually read the f***ing thing?

Of course not. There’s no point in having a zealot read a sacred text. It’s there to be thumped, as if it were the Bible, to provide spurious justification for the zealots position.

I have the Freedom to choose Christianity (Evangelical?) in America but I do not have the freedom to not choose it?
Somewhere there is a Taliban leader reading American politics and thinking “These ‘Republicans’ make perfect sense!”

The Puritans did not come here to practice “freedom from religion”, they came here to be able to force their religion on the entire community.

Oh, so we aren’t free from Sharia Law then, mister Perry? //

Coming from the guy who forgot the third agency that he would cut, I’m not surprised he forgot the First Amendment from the Bill of Rights
